Jr. Account Manager

Our versatile IntelliGrants platform has been utilized primarily for Grants Management until now. We are currently expanding that utilization beyond Grants Management with the formation of our Business Development Team. This team of highly skilled Business Analysts, Developers and Configuration Specialists utilize the IntelliGrants platform to develop new software product offerings in the State and Local Government sector.

Job Description

A successful person in this role will create favorable relationships with existing clients (employees within state agencies), prepare new quotes, meet with in-house project teams, manage the sales cycle process, prepare sales reports and manage the sales pipeline. This role will provide administrative support to the account managers as well as the sales manager. This role will assist the account managers in RFP completion, marketing lead responses, preparation of quotes, SOWs, accounts receivable, basic prospecting, and coordinating the sales team by managing schedules, filing documents, and more. Additionally, the Jr. Account Manager will assist the Sales Manager with admin duties, and coordination of sales and marketing materials.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains mutually beneficial relationships with existing clients to increase revenue
  • Manages lead systems and opportunities
  • Establishes good rapport with clients
  • Assists with accounts receivable
  • Develops new sales opportunities
  • Assists with client renewals
  • Assists with reports on accounts and transactions
  • Attends industry events, conferences, and trade shows
  • Assists sales quotations on software enhancements and new business
  • Assists with renewing existing client contracts
  • Other duties, as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of CRM software and full MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Software work experience preferred
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Familiarity with basic marketing and lead generation principles
  • Experience with software sales process a plus
  • Knowledge of principles with software as a service a plus
  • Ability to multitask and think outside the box
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; Bilingual English and Spanish a plus
  • Ability to type and use computers and equipment efficiently

Education and Experience

  • Business, marketing, or similar Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a junior sales position
  • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
