Job Description

Our product is a data input and workflow management system geared towards State Government agencies to assist in managing their Grant Management Processes. The system interacts with our robust databases using T-SQL & Microsoft SQL Server. The web-side is a mix of ASP.NET MVC, VB.NET 4.6.2, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS and others.

A Manager of Project Operations is responsible for overseeing multiple IntelliGrants implementation projects and maintenance projects both for budget and project schedule perspective.  As well as being an escalation point of contact for clients, for the project teams the manager oversees.  Manager of Project Operations has Team Leaders that report to them.  The Team Leaders are responsible for leading a cross-functional team of resources from Configuration Specialists, Project Leads and Developers.

The work environment is highly collaborative with times of both team and individual work on specific dedicated tasks relating back to the overall goal of the project.

We have offices in Glendale, AZ; Okemos, MI; and San Juan, PR.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees 20+ projects in varying stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Creates and maintains timelines and project plans
  • Responsible for following profitability and billing targets
  • Responsible for on-time delivery
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining standards
  • Responsible for promoting 1st time quality in delivery
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining efficiencies
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining processes
  • Has monthly meetings with clients and account managers for relationship management and strategic planning of account
  • Provide back-up to Team Lead 1’s and manage project leads
  • Foster growth mindset leadership
  • Typical escalation point of contact for client projects
  • Works with Account Managers for conflict resolutions, contract questions, service level agreements as they pertain to individual clients
  • Review and approve SOWs for contracts prior to Account Manager submitting to client
  • Approve time-logging, personal time off requests of direct reports
  • Review and Approve company invoices to respective clients
  • Author performance appraisals for direct reports
  • Responsible for administering company disciplinary process, in conjunction with Human Resources
  • Take part in interviews for applicants
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement within the product and submit to Director of Product Development
  • Perform other similar and related duties as required or as directed

  • Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook) and web browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-7 years of managing projects and people
  • 3-5 years of progressive work experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • 2-3 years experience as project lead
  • Implemented 3-7 projects
  • Overseen 10-20 projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience with ADA compliance a plus
  • Experience with mobile development and responsiveness a plus

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the field or related area
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
