Job Description
This is a challenging and rewarding position and an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to develop a brand new product idea, transform that idea into a business case for Executive Leadership, facilitate the execution of the idea into a product, and then taking that new product to market. All these activities are performed under the mentorship of the Business Development Director.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the development and implementation of new products, programs, or projects. Provides product/project support
- Coordinate product development focus groups
- Work with industry data and limited focus groups to solicit, analyze and formalize business, functional and technical requirements
- Develops UI designs
- Incorporates sales strategies into the product development process (i.e. Identifies and implements value added features/activities above and beyond what exists in the current marketplace)
- Lead quality control activities surrounding product development and initial launch
- Develop testing scripts targeted towards all facets of testing
- Identifies and documents issues, risks, and opportunities
- Process modeling
- Liaison with the product team, project teams and customers in the development and maintenance of product lines
- Conduct research as assigned
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Utilize superior critical thinking skills in day-to-day troubleshooting
Requirements
- Solid understanding of the SDLC
- The ability to independently troubleshoot is critical for this role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to audiences of all skill levels (i.e. the ability to communicate highly technical information to a non-technical audience)
- Must thrive when dealing with ambiguity, act with minimal supervision, identify the big picture, understand the challenges and act with clarity and a sense of purpose
- 5+ years of increasingly responsible career trajectory
- Interpersonal and consultative skills
- Relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills both verbal and in written form.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, individuals who are applying without experience working as a business analyst must have a solid base of experience in the industries listed under the Desired attributes in addition to a Bachelor’s degree
Desired
- Industry experience working with state and local governments, crime victims, grants, environmental health systems, compliance management
- 3+ years’ experience working as a Business Analyst
